Kimiko Kasai legte im Jahr 1977 mit ‚Tokyo Special‘ eine der ambitioniertesten Jazz-Platten mit Citypop Influence ihrer Zeit vor. Der Vibe der Bubble-Era war hier schon klar hörbar, der Funk der 70er aber auch.
