Stone In Focus remake with extra Zen Monkey footage to transcend to
‚Stone in Focus‘ der inoffizielle Name des siebten Songs der 2. CD von Aphex Twin’s ‚Selected Ambient Works Volume II‘, der es wiederum nie offiziell auf die CD Version des Albums geschafft hat, sich aber auf Vinyl befindet, unterlegt mit random ‚Monkey Zen Footage‘.

Seit ihr noch bei mir? Ok! Es wäre nämlich noch zu ergänzen, dass das Original Mashup seit 2015 online ist und bereits mehr als drei Millionen Klicks gesammelt hat. Die neue Version ist somit eine Hommage an einen netzkulturellen Klassiker. Die Pavian-Szenen stammen übrigens aus Ron Fricke’s immer noch überdimensionaler Doku Baraka (1992).
Was beginnt uns also anderes übrig, als dem weisen Rat des Affen zu folgen? Richtig wir haben einfach keine andere Wahl! 🧠

Not sure if it was the human characteristics of the monkey or just how the video made me feel. Anyways for the 5 year anniversary of it, I decided to remake it with different clips in higher quality. The result is a video not nearly good as the original, but a homage nevertheless. Enjoy. Footage is a mash up of monkey footage found on YouTube, edited somewhat. I added a color grade and some effects.
