Taeko Onuki & Ryuichi Sakamoto: UTAU (Vinyl)

Gleich nach „Playing the Piano“ die Nummer zwei auf meiner „most wanted“ Liste von Sakamoto Sachen. Ein NoBrainer, jetzt endlich zum ersten mal auf Vinyl aufgelegt.

Die 3er Vinyl ist ein Japan only Release und deshalb auch ein Import. Mit 12100 Yen (knapp 70 Euro) ohnehin schon kein Schnapper und dann muss man noch mit ca 35 Euro für Porto und Zoll rechnen. Solle aber nicht wenige geben, die angesichts dieser Veröffentlichung nicht mit der Wimper zucken.

LP version of the collaboration album with Taeko Onuki released in 2010

This is the first analog vinyl edition of „UTAU“, a collaboration album by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Taeko Onuki released in 2010. The album consists of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s past songs with new lyrics by Taeko Onuki, their previous joint works, „Akatombo“ and „a life“ (a children’s song).
The simple expression of just piano and song conveys the rich history of the two since the early 1970s, as they pursued „songs“ in the ultimate minimal space.

It also includes the bonus disc that came with the CD when it was released.
