Edward Norton ist Schauspieler, Autor und Regisseur in  Motherless Brooklyn, u.A. verfilmt mit Bruce Willis. Für den Soundtrack hat er einfach mal Thom Yorke angefragt ob er Lust hat etwas dazu beizusteuern. Der Song ‚Daily Battles‘ ist das Ergebnis.

Kann man machen, aber sicher nur wenn mann Edward Norton heißt. Toller Track, der die Aufmerksamkeit für den Film definitiv erhöhen sollte ?

Für den Track hat sich Yorke übrigens mit ‚Atoms for Peace‘ Mitglied und Chili Pepper FLEA zusammengetan!

Set against the backdrop of 1950s New York, Motherless Brooklyn follows Lionel Essrog, a lonely private detective afflicted with Tourette’s Syndrome, as he ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend, Frank Minna.

 
Wynton Marsalis ist für diese Jazz-Version des Tracks verantwortlich. Beide zusammen erscheinen auch als 7″ Single.
