I’ve assembled available b-roll footage of Spielberg directing on set. This fascinating footage is a great example of how he not only prepares with storyboards and pre-vis but he also improvises on set and coaches his actors. It’s very impressive to see him improvise shooting the ‚Twilight Zone‘ without leaning on storyboards.
