Why Do We Interface?

Die Debatte um interfaces ist so gesehen fast genauso alt wie die ersten menschlichen Versuche Informationen auf Höhlenwänden zu hinterlassen. Heutzutage ist sie manchmal verkürzt und verliert sich nicht selten zwischen Grabenkämpfen aus Neo- und Skeuomorphisus.

In Zeiten in denen gewisse wertvollste Unternehmen der Welt aktuell mal wieder alles auf den Kopf stellen wollen, was wir von unseren Interfaces gewohnt sind, stellt sich Ehsan Noursalehi zurecht die Frage: Warum überhaupt?

The frontier of technology is always exciting, sometimes toxic, and almost always misunderstood. As designers and technologists we have a responsibility to shape our future interfaces into something responsible.
